Our j.o.y.

Bob Eng |

After years of operating an independent business without a website, I've taken the plunge. I feel I’ve caught up with the 20th century!

In building it, my Marketing Director and daughter Sophia, who came of age in the 21st century, urged, “Keep it simple, cut the explanatory text. Add them as blog posts later.”

This is the story behind our business name – j.o.y. wealth partners.

j.o.y. are the initials of Sophia’s children, aka my grandkids: Jaxon and Oliver Y

It’s delightfully convenient that their initials spell “joy,” because we believe that true wealth lies in joy. We think of joy as the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu describe it: lasting happiness, which

cannot be found in any goal or achievement. It does not reside in fortune or fame. It resides only in the human mind and heart

So j.o.y. is a wonderful confluence of family and meaning that was impossible to pass up as a business name.

And the lower case? It’s to convey a sense of partnership, you and us together, for you.
